Remarkably, the September New Media Breakfast in Glasgow marked the 5th anniversary of the event, it seems no time at all since we started the New Media Breakfast, but the social media landscape has changed considerably during the last 60 months.
One of the main methods of content creation, and becoming sociable back when we started was blogging, and it’s still one of the most powerful and effective ways to get your message to your target audience. Many platforms have come and gone but blogging still remains a vital part of most good social media strategies.
What has changed is the sophistication of blogging platforms and the functionality that can be applied to them, so blogging is no longer simply about written text; images, video and audio can all now play a part. The September New Media Breakfast will explore the world of blogging and some of the options you may wish to consider when deciding on a format and creating blog content.
In addition to looking at the format of your blog, we will also discuss that old favourite - blog content. what works, when to post, how to get it shared, and why blogging remains a powerful element in any successful social media marketing strategy.
